Judy posted a link that had an 18-photo slideshow.

    https://recipeswap.org/fun/forums/discussion/swap-spot/

I went down that rabbit hole, but when I wanted to come back to the Recipe Swap, it was buried at the end of those 18 photos. I finally went into \ History on my iPad and toggled to the RS.

Would it be possible to have links like that open in another window so the RS window is easy to get back to?

    Swap spot?

yes but… yes it can be done. The issue is that some people don’t want links opening new windows or tabs. The alternatives are: on desktop laptop right click on links and “Open in New Tab” or “Open in New Window” On mobile devices some devices will allow you to do similar if you hold down your tap on the link and then a little option will popup with similar options. OTOH If most of the members want the default to have links open in a new window I’m fine with that.

Oh! I just tested that HOLD DOWN MOUSE option and it allowed me to opened her link in another window. SCORE!

Thanks for the lesson. Those pop-ups crop up automatically at times but I’m rather obtuse. I didn’t realize I could invoke it myself.

I prefer that links open in new tabs. But I seldom use my tablet or phone for RS. Also, I use Windows and Android. (Don’t know if it’s different on Macs.

I’m a pop up new tab person too. Same reason as Marilyn said. Plus I’ll open it to read later, and keep my focus on the main stream

Mac laptop also offers the “Open in New Tab” with a right click on the mouse.

OK this should work now. If it is not working in your browser you may need to do a hard refresh to clear your browser cache. Hold the shift key down while clicking the reload/refresh button.

I’d be an right click open in new tab person on a computer, but not auto on a phone because that would probably make the me crossover into the matrix. (And phone/mobile is a whole other challenge doncha know.)

Getting back to the swap I’m finding a bit difficult on my phone, but part of me thinks: hey, one thing at a time. 🙂
