But for me, the question still lingers: what is your favourite herb with carrots, green beans, potatoes....etc. ?

I always prefer French thyme on mushrooms, basil and mint on potatoes, green beans sometimes with French tarragon, and hmmmm

Often I can keep herbs growing here but if the temp happens to drops below 0, I start dragging them all in. Each Fall, I hope for a frost-free winter as that little garden is so critical to my kitchen. (so do the hummingbirds)

Honestly, I love French green beans sautéed in butter and garlic. I could make a whole meal of that. Also, I’m roasting a chicken tomorrow w heads of garlic, whole yams, and carrots laid in the pan, but what I’m looking forward to the most are those roasted carrots in chicken fat. Swoon!
