And speaking of freezers, another life lesson.

We moved an older refrigerator into the garage, and it sure has been handy. A couple weeks ago I noticed the things in the front of the freezer were gettng soft. I called the appliance store thinking I was going to have to replace the refrigerator, and they told me that when the temperature gets to 35 degrees or lower, the freezer unit stops working! Has something to do with the freon. Holy cow. With the temperature hovering around freezing, things can begin to thaw. I ended up cooking the things that were partially thawed, and packed the rest in coolers with dry ice.

Just thought I'd pass this on to those of you who also have a handy second refrigerator in an unheated garage.
