and need a good place for dinner... doesn't need to be over-the-top special, expensive, etc., just good food and atmosphere where we can have conversation and a good meal.
I still love the Castaways-and the view is incredible! but Burbank DOES
have a re-vamped downtown with all the "usual" restaraunts- You arent far from Pasadena, which has many many more choices... In which direction are you heading home ?
I checked the Castaways website -- food DOES look fantastic, but a little expensive.
I agree about the noisy tourist trap, but I still enjoy the excitement of it. Hubby wants to go there, to Gladstones, so I'm not sure what the plan will be.

lousy sangria. I think we tried at least half of the menu between the 5 of us and there wasn't a thing we didn't like. I'd like to do Castaways with just me and DH - sounds like a good anniversary-sort of place.
