Have you made these Dawn? I might make these for a Halloween snack - I mean, how

many baked goods can my kitchen hold this time of year!? ;o)

No, but I have made some similar to this. REC: Mini Cheesecakes and Oreo Cookie Cheesecake

These reminded me of a combination of these two recipes. I thought they would be cute for Halloween. I am taking the pumpkin cheeseball that Heather linked to and either a Halloween Oreo Cheesecake or Mini Halloween Oreo Cheesecakes over to in-laws for Halloween night.

MAC'S FAVORITE OREO COOKIE CHEESECAKE

Recipe By :Jan Emerson
Serving Size : 12 Preparation Time :0:00
Categories : Cheesecakes Desserts

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method1 1/4 pounds Oreo cookies
1/3 cup butter -- melted
32 ounces cream cheese -- cut into chunks
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup whipping cream
6 large eggs
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

In a food processor, whirl 1/2 package of cookies, including filling, until they form fine crumbs; mix in butter. Scoop crumbs into a 9-inch springform pan, and press crumbs evenly over bottom of pan and about 1/2 inch up sides. In a food processor or bowl of and electric mixer, whirl or beat cream cheese, sugar, and whipping cream at medium speed until smooth. Add eggs, flour, and vanilla; whirl or beat again to blend. Pour 1/2 of the cream cheese mixture, overlapping cookies, if necessary, to use all. pour remaining mixture over cookies. Bake the cheesecake in a 300 degree oven until cheesecake is golden on top and jiggles only slightly in center when gently shaken, about 1 hour 20 minutes (the shake test is more accurate). Take cheesecake from oven and let cool on a rack. cover and chill until cold, at least 4 hours or up until overnight. Before serving, run a knife between cake and pan sides to loosen. Remove rim. Cut cheesecake into slender wedges to serve.

this is a great idea! be sure to use the recipe with the added flour---I think it keeps the cake

sinking too much in the middle.

the halloween oreo recipe contains a bit of flour. of the 2 recipes posted by DawnMO, the second one

adds 2T of flour. I just find that the small amount of flour gives a bit more structure to the cheesecakes so they don't slump so much.

Great tip! Whatever happened to Sue/San Diego anyway? I remember once she

was telling us about how bad of a day she was having and dropped the kitchen towel into the cake batter... then didn't hear from her after that! Is she here under another name?
