Has anyone "corned" a ham? I can't find corned ham in my part of the world. It sounds like brining

with some spices. I could use a regular smoked ham in its place, which many North American recipes suggest instead, but wonder if there's a huge difference in taste and I'd be happier with a more authentic recipe if I did my own.

Corned ham is a Southern thing, isn't it?

I once did a corned pork shoulder from Julia Child's book "Julia Child and

Company" This was from a television series of the same name.

Interesting that this one has all the spices and is for pork or beef. How did you like it?
