Recipe given to me by mother of former student. They are date/orange flower/rosewater filled cookies usually baked during Ramadan. Formed in a special wooden mold (not pictured, although I should have included it in the photo) The box in the photo is of "special spices" used in the dough part. It includes fennel, anise, cloves, cinnamon, and caraway.
