I'm planning on making this tomorrow. I came across the recipe in a thread about beef recipes, and someone (I think it was Pat) said that they'd just cooked the beef in the oven, rather than on the grill as the recipe specified.

Of course, I didn't note the details of oven temp and time, thinking I could easily find the discussion again. But, of course, now I can't! I think the details were sear the beef on the cook top, then put it into a 350 degree oven for an hour or so to roast. Does that sound about right? (I have a three pound roast.)

Does anyone recognize this? Thanks much.

Yes! Thank you. I thought it was fairly recent but couldn't be sure.

And then talked myself out of that thought, until I wasn't even sure who had had the exchange.

Thanks much!

Started marinating the meat last night. I'm very excited about this.

Can you believe I've never cooked a roast before? (Or a chicken, for that matter.) And both are so easy.
