Thanks SusanLP for posting the recipe! I'v been meaning to make a batch for so long, and I'm glad I finally did.

Since I didn't have raisins I used dried cranberries, and I added a little nutmeg and put some honey on top.

Now I have a lovely breakfast all week, so perfect now that the weather is getting fall-ish out here.

I think this should be in the T&T hall of fame, anyone else?

Why not? I used whole oats from the bulk section and had to bake it for

75 minutes or so until most of the liquid was absorbed, they were some hearty oats!! but let me tell you, this is so tasty. Now I'm kicking myself for not making it earlier.

Someone told me recently if I ever tried toasted oatmeal I'd never eat it another way again. I might

try this with toasted oatmeal...

Perfect. I just showed Larry how to make this exact recipe on the stovetop...

He wanted whole oatmeal prepared to take to school each day.

Now he won't have to slave away over the stove....
hey, wait a minute, maybe I won't show him this recipe. Can't make cooking too easy or he won't appreciate what it takes to put out a good meal.
