Shrimp with Cheese-Grit Cakes and Bacon Vinaigrette

made this for dinner on Saturday and it was delicious. I served it with roasted asparagus spears.

My tweeks - I tried using my grill pan and the grit cakes stuck so I ended up pan frying in a little olive oil and did the same with the shrimp. Make sure your cheese is extra sharp or it won't give much flavor. Even though mine was sharp cheddar I added more as it wasn't that sharp tasting. I used creole seasoning for the BBQ spice.
