Would those of you who participated in the military cookie drop tell me

what you baked to send over. I'm doing a baking for the son of a friend who is in Iraq and I can't remember what will still taste good after a couple of weeks in transit.

Thanks!

I made peanut brittle, spicy and regular.

There were some guideline revolving around the use of certain spices and foods, I believe. I will try and find the thread for you.

I made peanut brittle too, double wrapped.

Wasn't there also a thread about other items that might be helpful, ie. razors, chapstick, etc.?

Cyn, if you do a search for "Operation Cookie Drop" you'll find it all and there is a lot!

Cyn, I made tough cookies like Mrs. Fields, oatmeal raisin and peanut butter..

I made stacks just short of the width of my box, wrapped the stacks in saran then tin foil and lined the box with small bubble wrap. I sent a test box from VA to AL and it arrived safely, no broken cookies!

Hope this helps.

Good for you Ang. I had a huge crew rebuilding the screen room so I did

a run through taste test on this recipe. They loved them. And I guess they hold up to the heat, mailing time thing pretty good. I never heard from whomever received my box so I don't have any feed back on the mailing results.
