Lana, saw this and thought of your hubbie

Oh My Gosh! How cheap! Yes indeed, it's still one of DH's favourite things, I'm impressed at your memory. I order good quality citron for the cakes online, but I bought a Buddha's Hand from Sprouts this year, and elder DD candied it. I paid $10, but it was a nice big one.

Well, these are the mountains of North Carolina so I was a bit surprised myself. I can’t imagine why it’s here other than this store (Ingles) gets unique items, like dragon fruit.

Some years back I ran across Buddha's Hand at one of our local grocery stores. I'd never seen it before and was intrigued so purchased one and used it at several different parties I catered during that holiday season as a garnish on serving trays. The only other garnish that has ever earned more comments and/or questions was a stalk of brussels sprouts I used a different year. See the following==>

around Easter at our FM there is a seller who has a greenhouse and makes planters of different kinds of lettuce. A friend who was having book club used it as a centerpiece--it was great.
I used to buy Brussels sprouts on the stem and keep it in the fridge for weeks and just cut some off for meals. They are BIG!!
