FYI, that sale gets you 4oz for $39, but fyi Costco’s online gets you double that of the Nielsen-Massey for $49. They also have 8oz of the bean paste for $29.99. Free shipping. I just got both in prep for holidays.

Is penzey’s truly double strenght? As in one uses half what a recipe calls for? I’ve never tried it.

Also, just refreshed my baking powder and soda. FYI, trader Joe’s baking powder does not have aluminum in it. Been having a harder time finding that in my regular grocery store.

I also checked the price: the regular strength lowers from $35 to $26 for 4 oz. But I had just bought 4 oz bottles of Nielsen_Massey for $17 each at Whole Foods. I can shop there, but would have to pay for shipping from Penzey's. Shipping for one 4-oz bottle was $9.
I really, really wish they hadn't priced themselves out of my range. I want French Thyme, but not enough to pay that kind of shipping cost.

Get on their mailing list. Sometimes they have free shipping. I’ve done that several times. Or, I can stop by a store and pick up and mail anything to you. There isn’t a store close by, but I have a doctor appointment on October 15 that’s near one and I’m happy to pop in and get anything you want. I don’t charge a handing fee, lol.
 
Speaking of vanilla, DH was in Trader Joes yesterday and surprised me by bringing home 4 pkgs of bourbon soaked vanilla beans for 2.99 per package. Haven't opened one yet to gauge strength. He's a keeper. 😂

Hope you find them! Just took a look at the package. Two beans in package, product of Madagascar, packed in Mauritius. Best by 12/27. Ingredients: Vanilla Beans. (guess bourbon doesn't count, LOL.) Maybe if they listed it, it would count as an alcohol import and have a whole set of issues.
 
I just did a tj’s run, but I’m lucky to have several close by. Next time I’m near I’ll pop in and see if they still have them.
