100 mph winds at our house last night... BIG STORM! I am thinking about the Gulf and the islands...

We had a very violent 'monsoon' storm. The worst of it lasted about an hour...

...so I can't imagine what a hurricane must be like.

Trees are down; power poles are down; 45,000+ people without power last night... and it was over 100 degrees today.

Large trees are uprooted, branches broken, homes crushed. So far I haven't heard of any injuries.

The rain went sideways, blew onto our porch and got so much water and grit in our locks we could hardly open our front door this morning.

It was nuts!

We didn't get hit as bad up in North Phx, but the clouds reached a level of over 50,000 ft which

caused such a violent down pour ~ My son is in East Tempe and he said it felt like a freight train going over head for over an hour. We didn't sustain too much damage but 2 streets over got hit so bad that until late afternoon they were still cleaning up trees

last night ~ we got hit real hard with rain ~ lost power for hours and trees down everywhere

my patio swing moved across the yard and into the garden ~ we didn't loose a tree, surprising because we have a young sapling in the front, debris everywhere, actually last nights storm to me was more damaging to North Phx than Thursdays but still Thursday's was severely worse to Tempe, S Scottsdale and surrounding area including Sky Harbor.

Hope everyone is going okay
