2 silly questions

Both stem from my uber fear of getting someone sick (which I don't think you can do with either of these items) but still....

We are having a big party this weekend that is catered except I'm making the desserts and my husband is making his fabulous margaritas. How far in advance can he:

1) squeeze limes

2) make simply syrup

Both will be kept refrigerated.

See - silly. Yet I have anxiety..........

Thank you!

But I squeeze limes and freeze the juice in baggies. I'd save angst for other issues and do that now

Now that he has saved all that last-minute time, here's an idea.

What about a margarita station where people can order specials?

I am very fond of sage margaritas and it's just the addition of some mulled sage and a leaf. Not a big deal as he could have a pot of mulled sage to add on order.

Some pressed peaches. Hey, we didn't talk about peach margaritas in the peach chat. I must be slipping.

Lots of fun varieties. Make him a hero.

Great idea for the future

The caterer is providing two types of sangria and wine and beer so I think we are set for this coming weekend - but love your ideas! Normally we do everything ourselves but we really wanted to focus on getting to know our new neighbors, etc at this party.

I squeeze and freeze lime juice a lot. The quality thawed is no different from fresh. Marg is right

That's the way to do it. I drag out my electric guy every time I go to Costco. The bags of juice I

freeze last for about 6 months and I pack about 1/2 c. into each little bag. Enough for a bean salad, guacamole or several cocktails or several cocktails, or several cocktails.

Freeze in ice cube trays - big and small

along with flat juice bags - after zesting and freezing that, too. Such an easy way to enjoy citrus all year smileys/wink.gif C
