Thanks Traca (and GayR) for the previously posted soup recipes this week - I hope to make both!

I do soups for lunch during fall/winter, so I am always looking for something new and interesting. There seems such a limited number of "types" of soup I feel challenged sometimes.

But TWO that I have loved (and have made several, several times) since making them last winter for the first time are Ina Garten's cream of tomato and cream of mushroom - while they both contain what seems like a considerable about of rich cream, they are really light overall. They are incredibly easy to make.

And there ISN'T a day that I don't end up saying out loud, "Wow, was that good!!" Makes me look forward to lunch each day.

Great suggestions on your part, which I REALLY, really appreciate, but unfortunately, despite years and years of trying, I can't do curry or cilantro. I know better now. But, thanks again.
