$44 PIE, yes you read right, check it out!!

I can't believe they would give a recipe for a pie they can get $44 for!!! They MUST have left

out some key ingredient(s). Yes, it looks like a pretty standard chess pie... cream and egg yolks would make it smoother.... more mouth feel maybe? But I've made oat crusts before and no combination of ingredients is going to make me spend $44 for a pie! smileys/smile.gif But, that's just me

 
I also don't get why they charge $44 for this pie. the ingredients are just standard. not truffles

 
It was on the front page of this morning's Los Angeles Times newspaper... sheesh!

They'd better rake in the $$ while they can because this has just got to be one of those short-lived fads.
