5.4 quake around LA- Everyone OK? DN called (he's on the top floor of a 20 story building)

Not too bad from where I was--just scary. Fortunately, there has been no major damage reported.

I feel so sorry for the Metro commuters. All the trains were running at 20 mph or less as a precaution for the rest of the day, in case any tracks haVE buckled.

They say these smaller quakes relieve tension and make "The Big One" less likely.

That was the first quake my DS "experienced" first hand, and he was not too happy -

We've had smaller ones before, but they were imperceptible, especially during the night when you are sleeping.

Isn't it just the most terrible feeling when the ground beneath you is rocking? I'll never forget

how terrified I was when I experienced my first. It was way North in California, on the Klamath River. Afterwards, the living room of the house we were living in had a crack up one wall across the ceiling and down the other side. Glad it wasn't worse and that you're safe. Did it scare your kids?
Edited to say I see it did scare your son, when I first read it, I somehow thought you were talking about your husband.
