unfortunately it looks like the price went up today maybe check back Monday
for "Cyber Monday" I have the 8QT and I prefer the larger size. You can fit less in larger but you can't fit more in smaller. Counter space it is only slightly larger than the 6QT models.
For me the two things that I use most are high pressure and saute. I think every model has that.
You may have seen this already but here is comparison chart from their website:
Perfect size for the 2 of us - probably for up to 4 people. I saw the Lux the other day but I don't know anything about it except that I physically opened and closed it to demonstrate how-to. The fellow bought it on sale at Walmart. Colleen
I was about to buy one of these when I saw they were bringing out a 15 psi version
some time soon. That is what I really want - a proper pressure cooker - so I will start saving and pay full price for that one. I also would prefer an 8 qt, as we like to eat leftovers during the week when I get home late.
The food will cook faster. It's the pressure I am used to using.
When you take into account the time spent coming up to pressure, and releasing it, I can't see how a 10 psi pot will save that much time. I read that it could also be used for pressure canning.
