A couple of years ago, I posted the Pomarita recipe. Last night I tried it with blueberry/pom juice

and it was even better. Leaving out the sugar entirely was an improvement for my taste.

Pomarita:

1 oz. pom juice

1 oz. tequila

1 oz. triple sec

3/4 oz fresh lime juice

1/4 oz. simple syrup or 1 t. berry sugar

salt & lime for garnish (optional)

Combine all well in shaker over ice, shaking well.

Strain into chilled martini glass.

(I did not get the salt and lime slice. IT was perfect.)

 
Well, Marg, it just so happens that I bought fresh pomegranate juice at lunch,

sooo, guess what I'll be doing tonight!!! I even got a lime, it must be destiny... Will report back...

I made the Pomaritas last night and they were so good that I had to make 2 double batches, and then ran out of limes, sadly, as my guest wanted another one!!! We toasted you many times! smileys/smile.gif

So delicious - thanks so much for sharing. This is now a permanent addition to my cocktail repertoire!

 
And here I thought that warm feeling was just my second round of pomaritas. Glad you enjoyed it!
