A few Operation Cookie Drop photos and a lovely note

I just received one of the disposable cameras included in the OCD packages. Our goodie boxes went to two platoons and SgtMajor Robinson was kind enough to return his camera. There are only a few personal shots on it, but I think you'll enjoy seeing their smiling faces (well, smiling for the most part: Sgt Major Robinson appears to be wearing his serious Marine face, but his kind words were smiling.)

Here is the note that was included with the camera:

"The Marines and I thoroughly enjoyed all the goodies for Christmas. As they opened them, we took photos so everyone would have some memories to add to their collection. Operation Cookie Drop is a real hit with me. I may have to get involved with that when I get back home. To get a pkg in the mail is one thing, but to get one with some time dedicated to it is even more special. I thank you on behalf of all the Marines and Sailors of Combat Logistics Battalion 5 for your generosity and support. May the joys of the holiday season be with you throughout the New Year."

Awwww.... so nice - warms your heart for everyone's generosity.

Thanks so much for posting the pictures, Marilyn, and for getting that all done for our troops.

What fun to see these, Marilyn! Makes me want to do a lot more of this kind of thing. Thank you

for spearheading this wonderful effort.

Thanks for sharing this Marilyn. I was hoping someone would here from them.>>>

Thanks for doing the hard part of the work.

Thanks Marilyn. We all do this for the joy it will bring the troops, and it...

...certainly seems to be a "mission accomplished".

It is nice to see the fruits of our (YOUR) labor.

Thanks again,

Michael

The photos are awesome, Marilyn, thanks for posting them. I could look at an entire album...

If you have the strength to do this next year, good Lord willing, I'd love to be able to participate. What Sgt Mjr pointed out is so true--it's the time and detail given that must have felt so special for them.

I'm so pleased they wrote back. It's good to know they appreciated all your efforts & in fact, that

all the baking arrived. Very nice letter.

What an accomplishment for you and the other donors. Another attaboy all around.
