Now, I just got it and have not baked anything from it yet. But I have been reading it for two days and want to try so many things in it. I love her notes and descriptions of each recipe. Tonight I hope to try her granola energy bars to bring to bootcamp in the morning as we are doing a little Halloween thing. Anyone have it and have tried anything from it yet?

Cute sifter! I have something similar - you squeeze the handle to open it

which expands the metal wires, then you dunk it in the flour (or powdered sugar) and release the handle to close it. Then shake to release a dusting of powder.

I had a dream about this cake last night. I woke up ready to make it this morning for breakfast and

as in my dream, I cannot find the recipe. I was getting quite frustrated in the dream and I must have realized that the recipe is actually not available yet.

I will have to go back to my yeast dough version. Odd how sometimes these dreams know more than we do.

Or maybe I'll make a stab at guessing the quantities.

I notice that it differs from her Marie-Helene by the addition of rum and the elimination of milk. Rum for breakfast. I don't think so.

Made my first recipe today, haven't tasted it yet: Mascarpone Mousse

Cindy and her husband are coming over to stay with us until Sunday, and this will be our dessert tonight

I hope I did not mess the recipe up.... we shall see!

OK, I have to ask - please share how you can make something and not taste it...

cuz I need to know!!

The tasting is what gets me into trouble. smileys/bigsmile.gif

it was perfect

Light and refreshing yet still satisfying. The perfect follow-up to expertly grilled steaks, black beans and rice, and green salad. And let's not forget the spectacular wines, cheeses, and oysters.
