A friend who has Jerseys has asked me to make some ice cream using her

cynupstateny

Well-known member
farm fresh milk. She said the butterfat of her milk is 6 per cent. Recipe calls for 1 cup of whole milk and 2 cups of heavy cream.

Everyone here knows I'm terrible at math.

Help?!

My husband, ice cream maker extraordinaire, said to just follow the

recipe as written. "You can never have too much butterfat". He makes pretty good ice cream, so I would go with the recipe you have and sub the fresh milk for the whole milk.
