I know it is only Tuesday here, but the way my last few weeks have gone, it is close enough.

I didn't get the cards sent out to the Farmer's Market vendors about tonight's meeting.

So, I had to call and email everyone at the last minute. So, I pretty much spent yesterday and today, apologizing for the late notice of the meeting TONIGHT. And I am still "that woman from California, that makes that food", thank goodness my customers don't feel like that. Oh, and no one else wants to be secretary, so I assured of position. (It gives me a position on the board.)

I didn't get the memo out to the parents in a timely matter notifying them that the craft show has been changed to March 31 from November 12th. No vendors were harmed, only my pride.

I didn't apologize to the people at the Farmer's Market meeting tonight for my faux pas, because, I think I might have started crying.

I hit the enter button before I had edited my subject message, so now it is blather. Like I need another to add. Acckkkkkkkkkkk!

My last one...I am so sad, I have so many more. I tried to wing a pumpkin fudge, and it didn't set correctly. I had to make a pasta dish at the last minute, to bring to the potluck at the Farmer's Market meeting. Now I have this pumpkin concoction that hasn't quite set, but almost.

What do I do with it?

I dunno what pumpkin fudge is but it sounds like it may be a good start to a pumpkin cheesecake.

Sounds like a temporary slump. Maybe it's just your biorhythms. And tomorrow's another day.

((Dawn)) Pumpkin ice cream would be wonderful to have a good cry with..

Don't be so hard on yourself--like you said, no one else wants to be secretary.

Aw, Dawn, so sorry... Your community is lucky to have you!

Whenever I go to greenmarkets here, I'm really, REALLY grateful that someone had the time and dedication to organize them--I know patrons of your farmer's market feel the same way.

From one California girl to another: Hang in there! It will turn out fine.

Thanks everyone, I am feeling much better today. The last two

days have been rainy and gloomy and so was my mood. Today is sunny and cool, and there is a light dusting of snow on the ground. I booked a group of women that get together once a month for a holiday gathering in my little cafe (and I mean little, I can seat 8, and have to cater everything in). It did give me the idea of letting groups book a date and catering their meeting for them.
Bub just told me to take a pill (Xanax), lol.
Have a great day all!
The pumpkin fudge was a package of butterscotch chips, a can of sweetened condensed milk, and my addition of 2/3 cup pumpkin puree. It just never set, but I will see if there is something I can do with it. I will let you know. Thanks again guys!

I find it interesting how the weather can really impact my mood. I am struggling a bit w/ the day

light savings time. It gets dark soo early! Rainy days are great days to just read a good cookbook and braise or crock pot something.... Anything! : )

Glad you are feeling better today.

Oh yum, imagine butterscotch brownies with pumpkin fudge frosting!

I was a board secretary for years, what a slog so I feel your pain. I had to keep a big paper calender with all my deadlines and due dates.

Sounds like you need a bubble bath and a martini, it's sort of a miraculous combination when you get the wobbles.

hugs - Heather

Thinly line candy molds with dark (or milk) chocolate candy coating, harden in frig, then add

a small scoop of the pumpkin fudge. Spoon more candy coating to seal. Pop in frig to harden.

Pop out and enjoy.

Those Youtube links made me smile! I would imagine, as an engineer, you would be great on a team!!

blowing in from the blustery north

the storm stayed on the west coast and we're fine herein south central. I lived in Nome for 5 years so I can just imagine that storm and the aftermath. everyone had lots of warning and really hunkered down. sounds like they came through it fine.
