A question regarding cream. This occurred to me with Bonnie's comment about

whipping cream not existing in France.

When I am in the US, all I can find is

Ultra-pasteurized everything....from milk to heavy cream.

Do you have regular pasteurized, non-ultra there?

They make half-and-half in ultra or regular. Try a smaller convenience store next time you're here.

Wegmans and Walmart also have both kinds.

'Not sure about heavy cream... milk is "regular", I think, when I've paid attention. Just skim, 1%, 2%, and whole.

i can find unultrapsteurized cream but with difficulty. whole foods and...

a few other stores on the east coast have lewes dairy products.

ask your dairy manager. it IS worth fighting to find.

Well then. This is not surprising. How odd. We don't have that process here & I find

the regular products much 'better' tasting. Or I should say, I've never seen the product here. Thank you for letting me know that I'm not imagining this. I wonder what prompted the ultra process.
