I want everyone to feel welcome to participate. Otherwise, it's not fair to others who want to enter - they might feel intimidated and not enter at all, and that's not what this is about.

 
Meryl is absolutely right - I guess I should have "jumped in" and not given my reason...

but, I would like to thank everyone for the kind words. Starting out 30 years ago, I was told that "No one goes into Teaching for the money" and "it's a thankless job." I would have to say that I've made a very decent living out of teaching and on most days, my students give me a reason to be thankful that I didn't listen to my High School counselor to become an engineer.

 
Yes you should have Timid. What you do is a wonderful thing

and something like these little treats can make some real smiles. It's such a sweet thought for Meryl to do but none of us need it. Your kids will really enjoy them.
