Am I the only one......

that would prefer to look through our posts/responses/recipes, etc than do dishes?

Dishes are staring at me, overloaded sink, and I keep thinking....

what kind of pumpkin puree with a black bean rice dish can Richard make?

I need help... Really, help with cleaning the dishes! : )

You have RDD (Recipe Distraction Disorder) like I have. As far as I know, this disorder is

untreatable!

Why just a few minutes earlier, I was obsessed looking for a roast chicken recipe while poring over two completely different printed ones later. Decisions, decisions...

It's okay to open up about your disorder barb. See link for an explanation of RDD.

I'd rather read a cookbook than just about any other publication. And I spend...

...a lot of time here (duh...), and have for many years.

I get all worked up over a good recipe, and can't wait to try it. I get really worked up if my family loves it.

It's a true passion, methinks.

PS: I relish planning Christmas feasts and especially the baking. Love it, love it!

Joe, are you really my husband? I am postiive that is his phlosophy.

Seriously, it's almost 1:00 in the morning as I recover from surgery and I was laying here wondering if dishes were being done or piling sky high...

Glad to know I am not alone in this concern.

I am glad your are feeling good enough after having surgery

to post here. Don't worry about the dishes, he will run out eventually and have to do them.

Yes, take care of yourself and relax. He'll more than likely have a real

dose of reality of the many things you do on a daily basis. It'll be good for him. Be well....

Like, duh! I can find any excuse not to do dishes. . .

vacuuming, cleaning, bathroom cleaning, bed making. . .

I wholeheartedly agree! desertjean, I hope you can get a nice breakfast in bed

tomorrow morning and as many royal treatments that you deserve. Just ask and you shall receive.

Jean, does your husband cook you gourmet meals most nights? leaving the kitchen in a mess?

Then, I'm really your husband.

I just don't believe that the same person who dirtied the pots and pans should have to scrub them, assuming there was a great meal in between.

Anyway, like everyone else says, relax, rest and heal! This is no time to redefine your relationship. Paper plates are just fine. So are dishes piling up.
