Am looking for a good stirfry any ideas

If you're looking for a book, Grace Young's "Breath of a Wok" is the bible for stir fry.

Janet, making the marinade and marinating is all done ahead. That's why the "recipe" is so quick

If you've ever had really good garlic chili pork, this comes out like that, only better since you can add your favorite stir-fry veggies and leave out the ones you don't. And you'll never be able to add pork strips without this method again....it just won't be fork-tender.

This worked really well for a luncheon pot luck. I brought in my electric work, a large bowl of prepared rice, all the veggies cut up in separate bags, the marinated pork and peanut oil. We reheated the rice in the microwave, I cooked the pork (took all of one minute) removed it and stir-fryed the veggies based on density.

One large wok-full fed six of us and there wasn't even a pound of pork. I cut up pork chops into 1/4" strips to marinate.

Mar, Thanks for the pork stir fry recipe. I have some pork in the freezer will make this next week!

I copied and pasted the recipe below from Mar. Makes it easier for me to print and find in the future! : ) (From China Moon)

Pork And Broccoli Stir Fry

Time 15 minutesServes 4
Ingredients

1 pork tenderloin, trimmed and thinly sliced

marinade ingredients:
1 Tablespoon soy sauce
1 Tablespoon mushroom soy sauce
1 Tablespoon mirin
1 Tablespoon rice wine vinegar
1/2 teaspoon hot chili sesame oil
1 Tablespoon brown sugar
1 Tablespoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon crushed garlic

sauce ingredients:
1 1/2 cups chicken stock
1 Tablespoon soy sauce
1 Tablespoon mushroom soy sauce
1 Tablespoon sherry
1 Tablespoon rice wine vinegar
3 Tablespoons hoisin sauce

for stir fry:
canola or peanut oil
1 Tablespoon chopped garlic
1 Tablespoon chopped ginger
1 chopped scallion
2 cups broccoli, separated into florets
1 cup sliced carrots
1 Tablespoon cornstarch, mixed with 1 Tablespoon water

How to make it

Combine all marinade ingredients and mix in pork; set aside for 1-4 hours.

Combine all sauce ingredients and set aside.

Heat wok over medium-high heat and add oil when wok is hot.

Stir fry garlic, ginger, and scallions for a few moments until fragrant.

Add broccoli and carrots and stir fry until desired doneness.

Remove vegetables from wok and reheat it.

Stir fry pork until browned but not quite done.

Add vegetables and sauce mixture and cook until everything is at desired doneness.

If sauce is too runny for you, mix in the cornstarch/water mixture and let it boil for a moment to thicken.

Serve with rice or noodles.
