Amazon book reviews like this drive me nuts: [for "Baked Elements"]

Or post a 1 or 2 star when they're only asking a question about ingredients or procedure. Ack! Good

to sift through the reviews sometimes.

I'd recommend getting a look at that book in person before you buy it. I have the one before and

really enjoy it, but their new book? The format and aesthetic appeal are "off". I was asked to review their previous book and after seeing this one...I'm glad they didn't ask. Note: I don't have a copy and haven't made anything out of the book. I perused it at the bookstore. I may reevaluate my opinion later, but that was my first blush impression.

No. I've only given two reviews on Amazon and someone reamed my first one:

I'm a long-time fan of the Gilmore Girls because of the brilliant, high-octane, rapid-fire script. Basically, I NEED subtitles to pick up many of their witty cultural references.

I've bought every season on DVD and every season had subtitles. Until: for some bizarre reason, they left them out of Season 6 (although if I read French or Spanish, no problem). Perhaps they thought the close-captioning was enough, only my audio system wouldn't pick up CC, so I was very disappointed with this DVD set.

Hence, I wrote my first review and complained on Amazon. Politely but Loudly, making it clear I would NOT be buying Season 7 if they left off the subtitles. From my fingertips through Amazon to the eyes of the Hollywood Mogul Gods.

Now remember, my review was a complaint against a PRODUCT sold by AMAZON, not a critical review of the series:

David Natale commented back:

Who cares about stupid captions?! You were supposed to write a review on the episodes. My advice 2 u is to write a new review, because this one is bogus!!!

PS: Practically ALL of the "1" ratings were attributed to the lack of subtitles on the Season 6 DVDs. I wonder if Mr. Natale went off on all of them too?

PPS: They brought back English subitles in the Season 7 DVD set. Score one for being a bogus b+tch.

(NFRC: Marilyn, do you watch "Bunheads"? Same team, same great writing.)

Also, my author and I appreciated your second review! smileys/wink.gif

Yes. It feels like they're trying too hard to duplicate GG. Everything is just a little

"too" over-acted...adults and teen actors both.

But I'll keep watching and hope they grow into their ballet shoes after breaking them in a bit.

On the other hand, since I can't have Bilbo Baggin's cottage, I WANT Michelle's guest cottage for my NC property.

And you're very welcome. I had fun writing your review.
