And yet again - DH best friend just called to ask if I would cater brunch after their wedding ...

in a few weeks. They are getting married on Friday night so the brunch would be Saturday morning (oh why couldn't it be Sunday?) for about 25 people. So now I need to pull that menu together.

I think the baked blueberry french toast from above - it was a winner! So I need to think of other things and calculate servings and such. How many different items and of what kind of items.....

I hope you're doing your laquered bacon. Besides the obvious baked goods and fruit,

some ideas:

Cathy Z's sausage casserole
Provencal stuffed tomatoes (baked with breadcrumbs and garlic)
Chilled asparagus with a choice of sauces
A Spanish style "tortilla" (egg, potato and onion cake)
Cheese blintzes, or some other crepe-ey thing
Orange and Avocado Salad with Pine Nuts (LINK)

A self-serve waffle bar, set up so people can make their own. I did this for Easter and it was a great ice breaker.

Missy, Traca linked to these sausage stuffed pears last March which

we liked very much. I can't remember who else tried them but they suggested they would be great on a buffet brunch which Hubby and I agree. They were very good but need to go along with other items. Very easy to make and pretty.

I forgot to mention, I took this to a party and cut up all the fruit. Then I had the dressing in

another container. Once I got to my destination, just dump in the fruit, drizzle some sauce & toss. Easy, easy. You can also focus on fruits that don't require cutting...berries and such.
