Ang- are your Sugar Softies big enough to wrap individually for a bake sale?

Yes! They do very well sold individually. make one test cookie to see if it stays mounded nicely.

You may need to add a bit of flour if it spreads, but generally, the cookies bake up to nice rounded mounds that decorate nicely. We made some for a church bake sale. I had baked up a bunch of the cookies and then we set out icing and all kinds of sprinkles and had the kids decorate them. We packaged them up individually and sold them the next day. Of course, the kids all wanted to buy their own decorated one! It was a fun activity for the kids.

They're in Tand T, Deb but here's the recipe.

SUGAR SOFTIES

Stir together: 4 cups flour, ½ tsp cream of tartar, ½ tsp baking soda and ¼ tsp salt.

In a mixing bowl, beat together: 2 cups sugar, 1 ¼ cups butter until fluffy.

Then add 2 eggs and 2 tsp vanilla and beat well.

Then add 2 T of milk and mix well.

Blend both mixtures together.

Drop by ¼ cup onto an ungreased cookie sheet, 2 inches apart.

Flatten with the bottom of a glass dipped in sugar.

Bake at 375 for 12-15 minutes. Cool on rack. Yield is about 20 large cookies.

Note: I always double recipe.
Good to ice and decorate too. Kids love this and good bake sale item.
