AngAK came for a few days- it rained a lot but we still had fun

We had the tail end of a big storm happening on Kauai but she still managed to enjoy her time here. One night we made Laarb and Coconut Cilantro rice together. Another night we ate steaks on the grill with lovely fresh Kauai corn on the cob. Another night it was pork tenderloin with Tonkatsu sauce and that salad from PatNoCal that I love so much- with toasted pecans and dried cranberries.

I had to work so I couldn't spend as much time with her as I wanted to and couldn't do any really complicated menus. Next time! She is fabulous and a treat to be around.

the treat was entirely mine---cooking with Cathy in her awesome kitchen and laughing with

her and Kris and enjoying the hijinks of all the critters---just what the doctor ordered. Then I had more fun with Sandi and her fab DH, making homemade pizza(not amoeba shaped either)and going to the big farmers market EARLY Saturday morning and she brought me -2- Spam sushis----yay!. just a fabulous getaway. big thanks to both for entertaining and feeding me.
