AngAK, how did the almond version of GayR's "Double Vanilla Hazelnut Pound Cake" turn out??

excellent! nice pound cake crumb and depth of flavor added by the toasted almonds. not sure why it

says to wait at least 2 days to serve, except for maybe the toastiness of the nuts comes out more as it mellows? the crumb was fine. I dusted it with powdered sugar and served with the chocolate sauce and whipped cream. didn't last long! one note, I did add about 1/2 tsp of baking powder---I just don't trust my cakes to rise with just eggs and no other leavening.

 
AngAk, I want to thank you for the comments on the cake using almonds. Must try it now with

almonds. I truly love this cake, taste, texture, etc.
