Another food-related 'funny', and forgive me if I've already posted this:

When my son was being interviewed for various residency programs (orthopedic surgery) around the country, he had to sit through some very intense interviews with panels of physicians asking the questions. Sometimes they would try to trip him up by throwing in a question designed to see if he could think on his feet.

After a particularly arduous 5-hour process, one of the doctors said to him, "Teach us something complex in a minute or less, and it has to be a topic that has absolutely NOTHING to do with the medical field. Go!"

My son started teaching them how to make pasta carbonara using beaten eggs to pair with the Parmesano Reggiano and using the heat of the cooked and drained pasta in order to create the taste and feel of 'cream', but without using any other dairy products. He talked about how the eggs have to be handled a certain way in order to accomplish this feat of culinary magic.

Boom.

The three docs looked at each other and smiled. They said, "If you join our residency program, we expect you to have us over for dinner!"

(That's MY BOY!)
