Another NPR.org recipe: Whole Wheat Poppy Seed Cake. Can anyone tell me if

Marilyn, I plan on ordering this flavoring. It seems to be a favorite to add to vanilla cakes and

sugar cookies to give them that "something special" flavor. At least, that's what I gathered from reading about it on blogs and other forums this past holiday season. But, I have not actually tasted it, so not much help in this round about reply.

I bought it for xmas baking. I highly recommend it, it gives baked goods that "bakery" taste

I used them in the coconut shortbread bar recipe and biscotti. Be sure to read the label/care instructions in fine print when you get it, apparently it takes the finish off counters but tastes great!! LOL.

Thanks Ang & Mo. I've ordered it from King Arthur

I've cut back on mail-order stuff, but this whole order cost only $2.50 shipping.....and would have been free is I wanted to wait 10 days.

They ship really quickly, so you'll be glad you spent the 2.50 smileys/smile.gif

Pls let me know what you make with it, I still have some burning a hole in my refrigerator shelf smileys/smile.gif (they say to refrigerate it after opening)

YES, YES, YES!!! I've told every cook I know about Fiori di Sicilia since...

I discovered it the fall of '06. Thanks so much for another recipe to use it in. Awesome stuff!

Love, love, love it!!! smileys/smile.gif

PS I've never had it take any finish off the counters.....but....

Be careful storing it near butter in the fridge. smileys/smile.gif That is, unless you want wonderfully scented butter on your baked potatoes! haha
