Another to check out: Apple Cider Doughnut Cake

I can just smell this one already. perfect for Tuesdays at work---they did away with donut tuesday.

 
couldn't wait till Tuesday and made it last night---but with changes of course.

the boiling of cider and apples etc was too fussy for me last night and I had no cider or apples, but I had frozen apple cider concentrate and pears. soooooo, I put all the ingredients, except 3 diced pears, in my mixer and beat it up like a 1 bowl cake. used 1 cup milk and 6T of frozen apple concentrate. folded in the pears and baked in a bundt for an hour. It is just lovely and practically inhaled at work this morning. They liked it because it's not overly sweet. I melted some butter and brushed it on the cake and then sprinkled with the cinnamon sugar. sprinkled some more on before serving. I guess I developed my own recipe.
