Any have Jeni

I have it. This book...and her method...changed my life. I am an avid ice cream maker

and am slightly obsessed...interviewing authors and scientists about it. One thing I've struggled with is consistency. Homemade ice creams, in my opinion, have the best consistency straight out of the machine...or shortly after. A couple days later and they're often hard as a rock and/or develop ice crystals. Not so with Jeni's method. As a test, I made a batch and let it sit in the freezer for over a month. At long last, my ice cream at home was just as good as commercial brands.

While the link is for a funky flavor, she also has basic flavors in the book. It's built on the premise that her base is just a building block and you can swap out things, creating your own flavors.

An interesting side note, Jeni and her team designed the book themselves.

I wish all these artsy-fartsy kids designing web pages & books understood

how hard low-contrast print on both books & web pages is on aging eyes.
