Any recommendations for Paris?

My daughter will be in Paris next week and is interested in taking a cooking class and restaurant recommendations. Any suggestions?

the blogs of David Lebovitz and Chocolate and Zucchini have many helpful hints on

touring in Paris. If you do a search here using "Paris", many threads will come up of travel suggestions. I believe Michael in Sarasota has a blog with his Paris adventures chronicled. Cooking classes were mentioned in many of these.

Here are some restaurants we enjoyed

Le Fin Gourmet, 42 Rue St. Louis en I'ile
Perraudin, 157 Rue St. Jacques
Evi Evane, 10 Rue Guisarde
Le Train Bleu, Gare du Lyon
Les Amis des Messina, 18 Rue du Dragon

Le Fin Gourmet is on the Isle St. Louis across the river. Perraudin is a favorite that is not too expensive where we go each time we visit Paris. Evi Evane is Greek with a French twist. Le Train Bleu is a gorgeous place on the upper floor of the train station. Les Amis des Messina is an Italian restaurant that we just found on our last visit. It is tucked away on a back street near St. Sulpice Church.

Thank you all so much....my daughter has been given the tickets to Paris from her boss

as a thank you for the work she has done (great boss!!!). She will be married two years this year and she is taking her husband on a second honeymoon. Your personal suggestions will make this time even more memorable for them. I appreciate all of you; thanks.

resto ideas

Ze Kitchen Galerie, 4, rue des Grands Augustins
Les Bouquinistes, 55, quai des Grands Augustins
Au Chien qui Fume, 33, rue du Pont Neuf
I really recommend going to lunch, rather than dinner, at these places - much more of a French feel (and cheaper then). The first two are more of a modern French style, while the last is traditional (and lots of brasserie character).
