Met Opera Grand Tier Restaurant - avail after 9/25?

We attended Turandot at the Metropolitan Opera at Lincoln Center. During the opera intermission and before, the Grand Tier Restaurant serves dinner, snacks, dessert. Check to see if you can get a reservation for your date (reservations available after 9/25) through Open Table

We didn't eat at Grand Tier - enjoyed watching others eat smileys/wink.gif - but will consider it for our next Lincoln Center performance. Instead, we ended up devouring a huge Greek Salad (with extra feta) at Morning Star Cafe (949 2nd Ave. btwn 50th-51st) after the opera by our east-side mid-town hotel - they are closed Monday night. Indie Film & Wine. Tucked under the posh Lincoln restaurant, between the

Vivian Beaumont and Juilliard, and right next to the Film Society of Lincoln Center. Quite tasty menu (if small), though the bruschetta haven't been as up to par as they last were. The people-watching, if you sit at the counter facing the street, is excellent. Not pricey at all--great place for weeknight dinner or snack. And fairly quiet (though not quiet at all on weekend mornings).
