I was reading an article about them and told my DD who went and tried them yesterday. About 110 different cupcakes baked and frosted in front of you. They range $2.50 to $3.50 each. Artsy flavors and colors. She said they have a LOT of icing on them so they are filling, but VERY good.

 
Yes, I also wondered what the big new fad is... but I've always loved cupcakes... cute little things

 
Cup Cake Fascination

I'm a SoCal girl and I too have passed by Sprinkles right in the heart of Beverly Hills and wondered what all the fuss was about. Once I try one I'll let you guys know, but I have tried the Sugar Cakes, which are mini cupcakes sold at a boutique dress shop called Sugar On LaBrea, and they are absolutely AMAZING!!! They sell them by the dozen, but you can try them while you browse around.

Has anyone tried a particular flavor at Sprinkles that I should look out for?

How funny that a clothing store would sell cupcakes -- are they a bakery, too, or do they buy them from somewhere?

If I'm not mistaken, the owner's husband is a chef and it started out as a little perk for customers, but are soooo good, they started selling them. You gotta try every single one!
