Any suggestions on how to make Molten Chocolate Cakes (Lava Cakes) ahead of time and reheating?

A co-worker is making a special request for molten chocolate cake. It won't be served until after work, but I would have to bake it the night before and bring it to work that day. I will have access to a microwave while at work. Do you think this is even possible?? I thought of freezing them after baking and then reheating in the microwave before serving... Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

molten cake

This cake cannot be made and reheated-it falls if not eaten right away-you can make it refrigerate it and then cook it when you are ready -BUT NOT COOKED AND REHEAT,

It turns fudgy when baked ahead and refrigerated. If you can bake at the premisis

the mixture can be made refrigerated and baking time adjusted for the cold batter.

this is cheating, but could work for you

Somewhere I read about making nice chocolate mini-cakes or cupcakes, then using store bought chocolate fudge sauce squirted into them with a frosting nozzle or something similar. When you microwave them, the sauce gets hot and runny. Voila! Lava cakes!

We just had dinner at an expensive restaurant and this is what they did....

They brought the little chocolate souffle cakes hot from the oven, then at the table took a scoop out of the top and poured in hot chocolate sauce, put the scooped out piece back on with a big dollop of whipping cream. Wasn't quite what I was expecting, but pretty good nonetheless.

Thanks, everyone! I think this is what I am going to have to do. I'll let you know if he notices!

I'll at least make my own chocolate sauce... That will probably satisfy my co-worker. Thanks for the help!
