Any thoughts on how I could dress up Marie Helen's Apple cake?

I was thinking of maybe drizzling something on the plate like a raspberry coulis or setting the cake on a puddle of caramel sauce?

Any thoughts - ?

Thanks

Decorate your cake w/ fresh mint leaves & fresh flowers. If you prefer edible

flowers, use pansies (I have the winter variety growing in pots in my garage right now) or else purchase some roses to adorn the top of your cake or use Chrysanthemums which are growing all over the place in southern Indiana.

I frequently garnish/decorate cakes or tarts with non-edible flowers, too. People typically don't eat them. But I warn folks NOT TO if I'm using something that cannot be eaten.

After I pull off all the flowers from the top of the whole cake, I slice and plate and then put a single flower on top of or to the side of each individual portion so you can carry the color and beauty of your flowers right to the table. I promise you will get lots of oooo's and aaah's!
