The segment on wine-in-a-pill (one pill = 1,000 bottles of wine a day) had a Jim Jones group of emaciated looking people drinking and eating sludge so they can live longer. What's the point? They look like they can barely move, they eat one meal a day, and their goal is to remain hungry.

"60 Minutes joined them for what they call "happy hour," consisting of a cocktail of low-calorie soup for starters, and walnuts, and baby food - green bean puree on flour-free bread to top off this feast fit for a flea."

I know 60 Minutes likes to show the extremes but these people look like escapees from the Karen Carpenter Clinic.

What the heck is Micronized Cellulose (powdered) ? And do I really want to eat it? Seriously?

M, you know those old sofas you see on the highway with the stuffing poking out? One man's old sofa

stuffing is another man's processed cellulose filler.

Picture "beautiful, light, fluffy chocolate pudding that is as light as angel feathers" covered in an earth-tone plaid and you've got it.

I am sorry but I keep reading "CRS" as "Can't Remember S**t!"

--like in that old joke. . .

Geeze, I would like to weigh less, A LOT less, but to be really, really skinny to extend my life, for who knows how long?

People gotta remember that there is quality of life, not just quantity.

My favorite motto? Moderation in all things, including moderation!

Maybe I'm missing something but resveratrol is already on the market...

heck, it's in the vitamins I take. Maybe they are coming out with a higher dose version. As for the lower calorie diet. Starvation as a diet choice... isn't that called: an eating disorder?
