Anyone been to the Shakespeare festival in Ashland, Oregon? Any recommendations on eating places? >>

Yes, the festival is always fun and very worth seeing. different every year, of course

As for eating....Ashland is not very big and most everything is right downtown. Just follow your nose and look at menus posted outside. I forgot to mention, check with Yelp and Chowhound. Also, ask the store owners when you are browsing downtown. So many restaurants have gone out of business, so I'm hesitant to give you any reccos

For your virtual pleasure Elaine, here's a link for Stratford-upon-Avon where I've been

on a business trip as a travel agent many years ago. I got a chill up my spine while traveling through the Cotswolds and Shakespeare country many years ago (among other places like Stonehenge at the crack of dawn....) I've travelled many times to Scotland as my parents are Scottish immigrants, but I can vouch that I truly loved the splendor of the remote villages in England and Wales and was enamored by the Cotswolds.

Wishing you fun, Elaine, at the Shakespeare Festival!

Thanks. I was at Stratforn-on-Avon many, many years ago on my very first European trip. >>>

It was a magical experience and I would love to get back there sometime and do other areas as well.
