Anyone bought foie gras?

So my sister wants foie gras for Christmas; she's never had it and it's not a big seller in Alabama. I've looked on google/amazon and can get it frozen or fresh. What should I get? If you have bought it, what do you recommend?

Fresh is always preferable but it should be used right away. Otherwise, frozen will suffice.

I was sent out of code product from them last year. They made good on it but

I used to buy theirs in the big city, but fresh. It was good. Also a brand out of Quebec.

I scold myself for loving this stuff so much, being an animal kind of person, but I am weak when it comes to foie gras.
