Anyone familiar with Rancho Gordo dry beans.....

I've seen them mentioned (and highly praised at another site). They seem rather expensive for dry beans. Are they any different than store bought dried beans? to warrant cost? These are heirloom beans not available in gro. stores around here anyway. I'm thinking about placing an order. I've been trying to incorporate bean dishes in our diet lately and thought these sounded interesting. Thoughts?
