Anyone happen to watch Ricardo on Food TV Canada this week? He

Marg CDN

did a braised turkey thigh recipe. I bought the stuff to make it and now can't find the recipe.

Sorry, that would have been last week already.

Honestly that search engine there is the most useless thing around. AAARGH!!!

Hey Susan....you listening? They don't even have a contact for major complaints.

Don't have the name. But I searched the entire site for it. I spent 1 1/2 hours on

the site trying to find it. I discovered that with one link to him, they post "all" of his recipes...10. Then another link takes you to "all" of his recipes...40. This one was not in either.

Some of the links that are supposed to be alive, are not. A link that is supposed to take you to his recipes only, goes to 6242 recipes from other shows.

It was so frustrating. I even googled him to see if he posted his own recipes. Then I wrote to "support" at FoodTV. It went to Allance Atlantis but it seems they don't forward email as they returned it to me.

I have always found their search engine to be less than useless but thought that eventually, it would be improved.

Ah well. There are worse things going on. Now I'll have to look for a recipe with braised turkey thighs. Couldn't find any on epicurious.

Marg, was that the show...

where he also made the browned Brussels sprouts and a roasted beet and orange salad? If so I caught some of that show and wanted to find the turkey thigh recipe also. It was the first time that I had watched the show, however, and I'm unsure what it, or the host, were named. In searching the website, I think the show I caught was "Good Deal with Dave Lieberman" in an episode called "Long Lazy Cooking". Unforturnately, it appears they don't publish his recipes on the website (they don't even list the name of the recipes).

Sure would like that recipe too...(

eva's link had 40 of his rec's, but not the turkey one. the foodtv site does stink sometimes. did

you try a search to see if he has his own website?

Yes, I've tried everything, I think. It was the first time I'd seen him as well Ruth. I thought

this would be a good recipe since it had Provencal olives in it. Then I thought it must have been on the "Provence PQ" episode. If I'm right, it was probably left out since it seems all that's on that episode is sweet stuff.

Thank you so much Ang. this is what I'll make tomorrow. I watched this guy once...he's the

one who always says "I'm going to go ahead and ..." before he does something.

I feel relieved as I really didn't want to freeze these things.

thanks again.

Yes, thank you many bunches, Ang! I searched the US site too but couldn't find it there either....

I didn't see the whole segment on the turkey dish but what I did see caught my interest.

That's so strange...the Canadian site didn't publish the recipes but the American one did. What's up with that...humph!

Thanks again for your detective work!

I have this Crockpot recipe John Wayne Turkey Drumstick. Thighs would be delish.

Yes, brand new this Fall. I don't watch Food TVs much any more. I have a

little set in the kitchen but I seem to be watching news more now. I must be a massochist as food is much more fun.

This guy anchors his show on what's available in Quebec and in support of Quebec products. Unfortunately, although PQ produces some absolutely outstanding cheeses, he doesn't provide substitutes for the rest of us to access in the rest of the world. He had some creative recipes the day I watched and I must say I was a bit surprised.

I did too Karen. I got a couple that I copied but unfortunately I got hooked on a taste that

I just had to have. Thanks for googling.

Yes Marg. I have an oval roaster type slow cooker and the legs fit in nicely. I add

a bit more hot sauce and use regular vinegar. This is really enough sauce for another leg, or plenty of thighs because they give off juice of their own. It's good shredded and then served on buns.
