Anyone having a beautiful green Sour Apple Martini tonight? (always the boozer)

Let's try this again. I'm a purist as well give me a Stoli martini and

I'm happy. Cosmos are my other favorite.

And yes martini's are vodka as well. I was a bartender for eight years

and there are vodka and gin martini's. I prefer vodka. My husband likes gin.

Yup, this is the only flavored martini I would have!

It is dangerous!! You slurp it down like a soda!!

Love Grey Goose Mandarin kept in the freezer, drink it like limocello.

Still prefer Bombay Sapphire for martinis, though, with the mandatory anchovy olives. I make a batch of the anchovy olive recipe for my stepdaughter.

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1 bottle Sapphire Bombay Gin
1 small bottle Martini and Rossi Dry Vermouth
olives of your choice
ice cubes

Fill your cocktail shaker half full with ice. Spear at least 2 olives with a toothpick; set aside. Using your martini glass as a measuring cup, fill it almost full with gin. Fill the vermouth cap just until the bottom of the cap is covered with vermouth (about 1/4 teaspoon). Pour it into the cocktail shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds. Pour the martini into your glass and serve immediately with olives added. Makes 1 very dry martini.

One more thing...gin should be at room temp...

the gin needs to melt the ice slightly when shaken to make a smooth martini.
