Anyone interested, Chefography returns to the Food Network this week, first up...Julia Child. It

Two books for those who love Julia--TheTenth Muse by Judith Jones and

In the Kitchen with Julia by Nancy Barr. The former is by the editor at Knopf who was instrumental in acquiring Mastering the Art..... Jones writes very well and had an interesting life as well as a great relationship with Julia. Barr's book relates in detail her close relationship with Julia as a gofer and later coordinator of the original Boston TV series as well as many more. Both books give a lot of personal detail of Julia life both on and off camera in a loving and caring way.

lalalalala enabler in the area!!! run, run, run away from Amazon!!! actually aajay "In the Kitchen

is on my night stand now, in the stack of next up.
Guess will add the Jones book now.
My name is Nan and I have a book addiction, (shuffling, bowing and entering Amazon on browser)!
I am almost finished with Meditererean Summer that Ang directed me to. It Rocks Have a stack of food related books that I want to keep, but would love to share? Was thinking about proposing to Mimi a thread in Larder Barter where one could post a review and send a book to someone, post that they had it, they could send to to the next person. If nobody wanted it, it would mailed back to original poster?
Or just go up for give away if OP didn't want it back.
Whatcha think?
thanks, aajay,
Nan

Just caught it, what a wonderful episode!! What an incredible story in every way, thanks.

Actually, I don't need Amazon--I volunteer in the local library book store and that's

all I need. Ours is an area with a lot of old folks who leave their libraries to ungrateful offspring who offload them to us upon their demise. Thus, great stuff at one or two dollars. And then there are yard sales....
The two Julia books were Xmas gifts from my son--this child of the depression rarely buys new books even at Amazon. Your plan sounds interesting but I'm not sure I'd part with any of mine, even temporarily--a real packrat here.

That book store sounds great! I do pretty well at yard sales and thrift shops. Just have to wait.
