Anyone know if I can throw a canvas pastry cloth in a washing machine on cold/no detergent?

I've been cleaning mine after every use (wiping off with a damp cloth, scraping the cloth clean as well as putting it in the freezer and then rescraping) but I'm thinking I need to clean it better. Thoughts?

Yes, that's a perfect way to clean it. Cold water, no detergent, and you may want to add an

extra rinse. Then let it air dry.

Interesting article, even though I do not make pie crusts, yeast breads, and interesting too

that when you see the chefs on the cooking shows, they never use pastry cloths. Ina, for instance, rolls hers out on marble, as do others.
I remember my grandmother rolling out dough on some sort of cloth.
